1983 Peavey T-30 Electric Guitar & Amp-in-Case

This '83 Peavey T-30 and its amp-loaded molded case that comes with it are a clear copycat of earlier, '60s-era, Danelectro models that came with their "Amp-in-Case" setups. This amp is solid state, tiny, and Peavey, though, so its tone (sorry, I didn't do a vid) is passable clean and sounds like a Rat dialed-up-full with the gain turned-up.

Everything works as it should and I've given it a going-through -- fret level/dress, setup work, and cleaning -- so it's playing on-the-dot. The foam in the case is deteriorating but that can always be touched-up or replaced as needed or simply... removed.

As far as the guitar goes, it's lighter and more sports-car-like than the comparable T-60 models which I'm more familar with. It has a short scale (23 1/2") and a skinny, fast neck that makes it feel a bit like playing an old Musicmaster or DuoSonic in its own way, though the pickup loadout and vibe is definitely more Strat-like. The pickups are single coil blade-pole units and they're more aggressive than a typical Fender pickup and have more "girth." Still, they're not screaming rawk pickups despite the blade poles.

US-made Peavies are always unsung hero types -- they've got fast and stable necks, they're reliable, sturdy, well-built, and have well-thought-out components.

Condition notes: it's been played a bit but is overall very clean. There are a few scuffs, dings, and scratches throughout the body but it's all not obvious. The finish looks good. When I got it in the pots and switch were a little dirty-sounding but I sprayed them all out and they've been good since. The guitar is 100% original throughout.
