2010s Warmoth Partscaster Telecaster-Style Electric Guitar

My friend Rob has owned this Telecaster clone for a while, now. It sports a Warmoth neck (with Fender decal) and Warmoth body, Duncan (or Fralin? -- in either case they're fancy) vintage-sounding pickups, and a typical Tele-style wiring harness. Its hardware is good quality, too, and it has a Fender bridge with compensated brass saddles, a 1-ply black pickguard, and Sperzel locking tuners at the headstock.

It's been stable as long as I've known it and has only needed the tiniest adjustments over the last few years -- maybe a truss rod tweak once or twice and a little repositioning of the saddles when he moved from one gauge of strings to another.

It's had a fresh level/dress of the frets, a new set of 10s popped on it, and it's ready to go.

Repairs included: a fret level/dress, restring, and setup.

Condition notes: it's in good shape overall with only minor wear and tear (tiny little scratches or nicks and some playwear at the pickguard) throughout. It looks like a "shopworn" new instrument more than anything else. There's one extra hole at the back of the heel on the body where a strap button was fit at one point. Also, the side-mounted Warmoth "trim" adjuster for the truss rod does not work, though the regular rod adjustment at the heel does.

Just FYI, the pickups are Lindy Fralin Blues Specials, Fralin blurb: "Wound with a 5% overwind from our Stock Teles, Blues Specials feature a punchy, warm tone that tames the harsh top-end from most Telecasters"

Also, the neck is Warmoth's "50's" style, with a 1 3/4 nut. It is bigger than a standard Fender neck and this makes it ideal for somebody wanting to transition from acoustic to electric guitar (which is why I bought it).

Looks like a nice build. I love Warmoth stuff but I wonder about the non working side adjustment for the truss rod. It seems like a simple design and I can't see how it would become a problem and stop working while the primary adjustment still functions. Does that make sense?
