Ephemera: Now Playing! (1939)

The eBay seller who posted this made reference to the movie's debut in 1939. The musicians however, are the real catch! I feel like I've seen this pair somewhere but the names escape me.

The fellow on the right is slinging a nice old Epiphone carved-top (maybe one of these?) while the fellow on the left is playing a Bakelite Rickenbacker lap steel. Excellent! Duos like this work really well on record and live -- the archtop is both a guitar and a snare drum, effectively, and counters the sweet, silky, Hawaiian-style steel beautifully.
