1976 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Solidbody Electric Guitar

A local customer has owned this guitar for a while, but he's ready to release it. It's a somewhat-modded Les Paul Deluxe, though the bones are all good and it's fairly clean and has its original hard case to boot.

At some point, someone swapped the pickups out for what appear to be (late '70s, early '80s?) DiMarzio Super Distortions in soapbar format. It would've been nice to have the original mini-humbuckers, but these sound pretty slick to me. In addition to the pickups, it looks like the there are series/parallel switches (or maybe a phase switch on the bridge pickup?) for each pickup, too.

Work included: a fret level/dress, dialing-in of the pickup polepieces, and a good setup with 46w-10 gauges. The neck is straight, the truss rod works, and it's stable in service. Action is hair-over 1/16" EA and 1/16" DGBE at the 12th fret.

Body wood: maple cap, mahogany back

Fretboard: rosewood

Bridge: original ABR

Neck feel: slim C, 10" radius

Neck wood: 3-piece maple

Condition notes: replaced tuners, replaced pickups, added switches -- otherwise original. There's minor wear-and-tear to the finish in small scratches/scuffs/teensy dings here and there on the back and a little on the sides, but it's mostly quite clean.

It comes with: its original hard case.
