Workshop: Bass Blues, Chipout Blues

This is what happens when a shop installs a fingerboard wedge and new fingerboard on an old Kay bass... but doesn't think it's a good idea to use enough glue to get the job done. It was funny -- you could see daylight through the join of the fingerboard to the wedge and while correcting that, the wedge itself popped out of the middle as I was clamping. Might as well do it all!

Meanwhile, here's a tedious refret on yet another Harmony electric neck -- this time with the evil ebonized-maple board. This came to me with no frets and plenty of chipout. Here I'm filling the chips (more or less) with powdered ebony and superglue. The job's done, now, and the neck looks/feels good.
