These guys were hanging-out at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.

She's playing a Russian 7-string guitar -- so, in Russia? Around the late '30s or early '40s?

I actually posted this same Lew Childre photo (from 1940) back in 2015, but this snapshot of it is much better quality than back then. That looks an awful lot like an old Oscar Schmidt guitar with that bridge, huh?

This cowboy singer was singing up in Prince Edward Island, so said the imprint on the back of it. The guitar is Regal-made but probably sold under that Canadian brand-name I just can't remember at the moment... this is circa 1930s.

The above den of the keg is in Germany, probably in the 1880s or 1890s.

I'm not sure about these two, but I'd guess they're hamming-it-up with that Washburn mandolin around 1900-1905.

Tenor banjo on a riverboat! 1937, per the listing information. His banjo would be almost 20 years old at that point.

Lastly, check out this storefront! This has to be from the late '20s, judging by the various ukes mixed in there. The highlight for me is that fancy-as-heck Oscar Schmidt guitar hanging on the wall next to the musical saw.
