Local Flavor: Lost Little Duckling

Bonnie spotted this little guy out in her front garden this afternoon. Apparently it'd gotten separated from its mama because we couldn't spot any ducks down by the river at all today -- and it would've had to climb a 20' sloped bank and cross the busy road to get here, so that separation must've happened much earlier. It was definitely freaked-out. I'm guessing that it might've been washed-down from higher up the river by the heavy rains yesterday and last night.

All's well that ends well, though. A local family of folks who raise ducks for eggs took the little critter in and so it'll get raised with some kin and enjoy the farm life.
