2010s Kala STGE-C Tenor Ukulele

This uke was dropped-off for sale and then purchased pretty dang quick. I didn't even have a chance to do a video. Suffice to say, it was basically "as new" and, after a quick setup, was playing bang-on-the-dot and quick. I will say that the factory setup left a bit to be desired but it wasn't bad.

This model has a solid spruce top that is paper thin and fan-braced. As a result, it's screaming-loud and punchy. I was shocked because I'm not used to that much tone jumping-out of a mid-priced modern instrument. It's just stupid the bang for buck you get with instruments these days.

The pickup system sounded pretty decent plugged-in but my preference is still for passive K&K units. This one's preamp used a CR2032 battery, though, which is far better than the 9V some systems use. I hate replacing those all the time...
