2022 Soares'y Hollowbody Electric Tenor Guitar

Mike Soares'y has been doing the electric tenor guitar and fifths-tuning thing for a long time. It appears that his working method has been to import instruments built close to or at his spec and preferences and then modify and adjust them as desired before selling them as his own-branded instruments.

This crazy creature is a hollowbody electric tenor guitar that's about the size of a Les Paul and features a bolt-on neck, solid spruce top, tons of bling by way of tortoise binding and trim all over the place, a humbucking pickup at the neck that flits between rockabilly or clean jazz tones depending on the amp it's shunted through, and a fast neck with a '50s-ish Gibson tenor guitar feel.

I've currently got it setup for "Celtic" GDAE octave mandolin tuning with a plain A string to allow for decent bends. The "factory" setup on this was really poor but after a bit of tweaking it's now a good, quick player and is dialed-in spot-on.
