2010s Line 6 Variax 700 Modeling Electric Guitar

Line 6 Variax guitars feature onboard modeling equipment that transforms a piezo-pickup-only guitar like this into an electric that has dozens of modeled guitar tones at the turn of a knob. This one, a Model 700, is the highest-grade version of the Variax guitar at the time it was made, being made by Fujigen in Japan and featuring better quality wood, craftsmanship, and hardware throughout.

It has a one-piece maple neck with volute for strength, a rosewood fretboard, two-point Strat-style trem with good "floating" ability that lets it handle beautifully, fancy pearl inlay in the fretboard, a trans-blue finish, ash "cap" over a mahogany body, and an overall somewhat lightweight build for its specs. It handles like a modern PRS-ish guitar or SuperStrat-style instrument.

My work was light but post-adjustments, it plays spot-on and is ready to go. These guitars can be powered by Line 6 gear via a special jack or 6 AA batteries onboard (as I've set it up with).

Repairs included: setup, replacement of 1 piezo saddle, cleaning, adjustments.
