2012 Squier Classic Vibe '50s Telecaster Electric Guitar

The Classic Vibe series from Squier is always pretty popular with local, younger players. They're affordable, have more vintagey feel and sound, and look pretty snazzy as well. This butterscotch/blackguard Telecaster clearly apes the '50s look and the neck is like a hybrid between a '50s and '60s Telecaster feel. The sound is "there" and the appointments are, too, but the thick, glossy, poly finish is decidedly more '70s than it is anything else.

Still, come on -- the whole guitar sells new for the same price as a US-made, run-of-the-mill aftermarket neck, so I think we can easily say this thing is a success at its price point.

All I had to do was set it up, but while doing so I also "ground-in" compensated slots for each original saddle so it, you know -- plays in tune up the neck. It's ready to go.
