2006 Taylor T5 Custom Acoustic/Electric Guitar

I have a number of Taylor T5 models that come in for setup each year, but this is the first one I've had in with the super-rare "twin humbucker" setup. A second (neck) magnetic pickup replaces the normal in-bridge piezo, though the switching is still a 5-way affair because the two magnetic pickups that are visible also interact with an under-fretboard-mounted humbucker that has more of an "acoustic" sound.

Apparently, this model was only made this way in 2006 and it was also the only year a variety of metallic finishes were sprayed. I've seen this same model in Aztec Gold as well as this cool, mediterranean blue metallic sort-of color. It looks fantastic in person -- with a bit of the look of a hammered finish on the neck despite it being smooth and slick.

I only had to do a "glorified setup" on it to get it playing its best as it arrived almost perfectly setup to begin-with. Apologies for the long video demo -- there were a whole bunch of tones to sort through between the control pots and the pickup selector.

Repairs included: very light fret level/dress and setup.
