1960s Harmony H162 000-Size Guitar

A customer brought this old H162 in on Friday and it got a while-you-wait neck reset, fret level/dress, saddle slot recut and new bone saddle, and K&K pickup install.

Its has to be late-'60s or early-'70s due to the truss rod from the factory and it has cool, tortoise-bound edges. Said binding is outgassing and deteriorating, however, which is why the top is discolored where it meets the binding. We had a little stabilization to due there.

Its tone is warm and woody and these later-version H162s have thinner, faster necks than the previous generation of them with their sort-of bigger, C/D neck shapes. In contrast, these feel a lot more "normal."

Per the usual, it's spruce over mahogany and the mahogany has a nice amount of figure in it.

For a video clip and some specs, check out this 1970 H162 I also worked-on recently.
