1960s Silvertone (Harmony) Parlor Tailpiece Guitar

 

This is just a cute little Harmony-made Silvertone that was in for a level/dress of the frets, setup, and new tuners. I snagged some pics because the nice, iced-tea sunburst is not something I see too often around the shop in this format of guitar.

The owner had us reuse the old strings because he has a studio space and this little guy gets used on all sorts of recordings because of its funk and weirdness. He remarked that he'd never seen it actually play properly before and I love to see that reaction because these goofy little ladder-braced boxes always have some sort of story to give once they're playing on-the-dot.
