2018 PRS McCarty 594 "10 Top" Solidbody "Soapbar Limited" Electric Guitar

I mean -- there's not much to write home about a nice, American-made PRS. They feel like money when you play them. They're well-built, sturdy, well-thought-out, feel like a late-'50s Les Paul (more or less) in the neck, and have all of the "kinks" of more traditional '50s or '60s electric guitars worked-out.

This McCarty variant was a short run where PRS was using higher-end Duncan P90s (Antiquities) rather than their usual pickups. As such it's a bit raunchier and more aggressive in the mids than the usual PRS fare and that's fun, too. As usual, though, it sounds and plays a treat as you'd expect. I'm a fan of the Duncan Antiquity line and it's usually my "go to" line when replacing vintage pickups in a hurry.
