1954 Gibson TG-50 Carved-Top Archtop Tenor Guitar

This is a customer's old Gibson tenor guitar and it was just in for some adjustments before going home (and possibly "for sale by owner"). It's in good shape overall save the finish which has streaks of chemical disturbance on the top (hard to see in the photos) and scratches here and there.

Just like their 6-string brethren, these Gibson tenors have a good, sweet, woody, "chuck" sound to them that perfectly-suits chord-backing in old-fashioned styles.

The top is solid, carved spruce while the back and sides are maple. It has a rosewood board and bridge and multi-ply pickguard.
