1900s Conzert Violin Straduari 4/4 Violin

This is a beautifully-made violin, probably German in origin, and dates from around 1900-1910 based on its build-style. It has tightly-grained spruce in the top, is nicely-carved, and has fancy flamed maple in the back and sides. The back is gorgeous and silky-looking.

My guy Andy did all the repairs to it and it's now playing bang-on, in good health, and sounds full, even, and professional. It's currently setup for a fiddling action height (quick and easy) but I do not doubt it would also make a great classical instrument considering its voice.

Its only markings are "Conzert Violin Straduari" carved into the back of the headstock. I'm assuming that suggests it's a Strad-style copy instrument. To me it appears to be an upper-mid-grade, German-import instrument. It has that look, heft, feel, and sound to it.

Repairs included: seam repairs, minor hairline crack repairs (top), bridge fitting, cleaning, restring, setup.

Condition notes: it has a couple of tight, repaired hairline cracks on the top. There's an average amount of usewear/playwear via small scratching, nicks, and dings here and there throughout the body. Overall, though, it looks gloriously-good for its age. The fittings are all ebony save the vintage chinrest.

It comes with: an old hard case (not pictured) but no bow.
