2016 Breedlove Crossover FO NT F-Style Mandolin

This is the import version of the venerable Breedlove FO model mandolin. It's an F-style, oval-hole instrument with a stylized "scroll" and two-point body design that perhaps takes a bit of its influence from Giacomel mandolins. The "scroll" has nice contouring on both its front and rear, too.

It's a nice, poppy-sounding, percussive, loud-ish instrument that's suited most to bluegrass and "newgrass" duty. I suppose it would work for old-time and jazz, too, though the sound is more direct and snappy than a traditional-style oval-hole instrument. It has a carved, x-braced solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides.

This one is essentially new and has only the mildest fretwear to show for its use. I've just given it a fresh setup and adjustments and it's ready to go.
