1930s German-made Unmarked 4/4 Violin
This is a nice, simple, '30s-era, unmarked but probably German-made, 4/4 violin. It has a pumpkin-like finish, good husky and clear fiddling tone, and smart handling. I'd done some work on it last year as I recall, but the owner decided he's not so much into fiddling anymore and has dropped off a variety of violins for sale.
Just recently, my guy Andy went through this and thinned-up the bridge and set it up a little faster and more accurately and it's ready to go and playing spot-on.
Repairs included: new chinrest, minor seam repairs (previously), replacement bridge (older), new strings, new tailgut, cleaning, setup.
