2001 Taylor K-22-CE 000-Size Guitar

It's funny to think that Taylors like these are now a couple decades old because I still think of them as "new guitars." I remember when all the hot to trot folks were playing these Hawaiian koa-topped eye-catchers in all the "big bands" of the time. This one arrived in as a neglected beauty and it was downright filthy before I cleaned it up.

As per the usual for a Taylor, it was easy to get it going despite not having had adjustments for years and years. The neck unbolted and I had it reset at a better angle within a few minutes. The electronics got sprayed-out and a new battery and a bit of tightening-up got the pickup system working again. A few more minor adjustments and it was playing spot-on and ready to gig. I really can't say enough about how easy these things are to work on...

Also, you know -- flamed koa everywhere! What's not to like about that?

Soundwise, these are balanced and sweet and have good, even volume string to string.
