1960s Harmony H1270 Sovereign Jumbo 12-String Guitar
H1270 Sovereign 12-strings are among my favorites. They're lightweight, sound tremendous when the work is done and they're setup properly, and have a tone that's somewhere between the clunky and wonderful '20s Stella/Oscar Schmidt 12-string voice and the brash, giant, deep, Guild-style voice.
While this one appears rough due to the darkened (and played-in) finish, it's actually structurally in good order. We did all the work needed to get it running spot-on and now it's a happy camper. These are such big guitars that they tend to love to be detuned to open C, C#, or D -- and sometimes I've fit them for B-B tuning for customers -- but they also have a fun, woody, bouncy sound when tuned-up to standard (as in the video).
Repairs included: a neck reset, fret level/dress, new compensated saddle, new pickguard and truss cover, cleaning, minor crack repair touch-up (old ones), minor seam repairs, setup, etc.

Condition notes: the original finish has been oversprayed with lacquer that has darkened to a "nicotine orange" look. It's unusual and actually pretty flattering on this big old guitar. The pickguard and truss cover are new and it has a few replacement (same type) parts in the tuners. There are some old hairline crack repairs in the bass-side-lower-bout (pictured) that are all good to go and I cleaned-up some of the residue around them. I did have to reglue the seams a little bit near the endpin area on the back. The top and back appear crack-free.
It comes with: no case at the moment (these bodies only fit the largest dread cases), but I might be able to scrounge a gigbag to ship it in.
