2007 First Act Volkswagen GarageMaster Electric Guitar

My friend Andy bought this guitar used a few years ago and, at the time, I gave it the "glorified setup" it needed to be a player. It's come back just the same and is just as quirky and fun as it was then.

This one's a 2007 but these debuted in 2006 as an accessory that came with various VW vehicles. It has an onboard preamp that, when turned-on, lets you plug this into the AUX input on your car and use the car's stereo like an amp. It's got a drive setting and a cleaner setting and, well -- it's fun! My wireless jack was playing minor havoc (high squeal if you listen closely) with the sound of the preamp in the demo but it works as-normal with an as-normal cable.

Features include fun retro styling, brighter (old-fashioned) Alnico-magnet humbuckers, said preamp, decent tuners, a poplar body, and good looks. Also... if you're a VW completist... welcome to the house, folks!

Repairs included: (previously) a fret level/dress, setup, and minor adjustments.
