2009 Clinesmith Dobro Resonator Guitar

This absolute beaut is a recent Clinesmith resonator that's all-original and in good order. These instruments are desirable and difficult-to-procure builds intended for stage musicians to get the most out of their sound. They have an interesting (and different) build inside which means the whole instrument works with the resonator to make the voice (rather than just a "reflector" for the cone as most Dobro-style guitars are design) sound as big and full as it is.

It has an interior clear-plastic "deflector" positioned below the soundholes to force sound up and out of the guitar and help cut-down on unwanted overtone sequences. You can read all about it on the Clinesmith website, but suffice to say it's all well-thought-out. He's also not taking new resonator guitar orders at the moment (2023) so there's definitely going to be a dry spell before more of these are on the market.

Apparently, there were some earlier Clinesmith builds where the tuners bunched the strings up at the headstock a bit. This has the revised headstock path -- so no worries.

Repairs included: dust-off, minor cone adjustments.
