2023 Martin D-18 "Ambertone" Dreadnought Guitar

This is an almost-new D-18 -- built this year and very lightly-used. It's got '30s-style features and the most obvious one is the "ambertone" (read: shadetop!) sunburst finish. The fittings (board and bridge) are ebony, too, and it has a wider nut than I'm used to on modern D-18s. It's nice to see these retro flavors coming out...

A local customer bought this because he really wanted the D-18 experience but found that he's much more attracted to 00-size guitars right now so it just wasn't working for him. His loss! This sounds big and full and punchy and bluegrassy and is ready to go. I checked the setup on it and all I had to do was tune it up and hang it on the wall. Not bad for efficiency, right?

It's got a nice sweetness to the mids which folks interpret as "roundness" to the tone.

Repairs included: I tuned it up...
