2016 Gibson J-45 Vintage Slope Dreadnought Guitar

While this has a "banner" headstock logo and it checks-out as mostly '40s-retro in specs and fittings, it has a drop-in saddle slot (thankee gods, for its ease-of-use) and antiqued, '50s-style Kluson-a-like tuners. It thus looks like a hybrid of an early-'50s J-45 and a "banner era" J-45. I like it quite a bit!

Local pal Austin is a guitar churner but I have noticed a progression towards smaller guitars for him. He bought this with the hopes that it would be "the one" for him -- he's a Gibson fan and this kind of guitar suits him very well -- but he's mostly playing a B-25/LG-2-style models these days so it's here for sale.

I'd fit a pickup to it and set it up earlier this year and the setup hasn't drifted at all and it plays spot-on just as it left last time. This has a classic J-45-style sound -- woody and airy but with a good, warm, but not-woofy, low-end. It records beautifully, of course, and will go from flatpicking to fingerpicking nicely.

Repairs included: a quick setup and, previously, a K&K pickup install (volume control at soundhole).

Condition notes: it looks just a little "shopworn," really. It appears to be all-original, too, save a K&K pickup (with volume control at the soundhole edge) that I added for the owner earlier this year.
