1900s Joseph Kloz Copy 1/2 Violin
This is a nice quality, German-made, fractional instrument. It has a good, full sound and an elegant, ruddy-brown finish. The cut and fit of the whole thing gives it a reliable, more professional feel and it has details that go above the usual "student" instrument -- a flamed maple neck and nicely-figured back, for instance.
It has a label that reads "Joseph Kloz" inside but it's definitely a copy in the style of rather than an original. I'm guesstimating that it was built around 1900-1910 per its various features.
Andy did all the work on this and it's playing spot-on and ready to serve.
