1997 Collings 0002H 000-size Guitar
Like all of the 0002H models I've played, this one is a stunner both in terms of its high build quality and also its ridiculous amount of power, punch, and "throw" at the audience. It's loud and proud and full-sounding in a way most other guitars can't compete. I think of these as a Martin OM-style guitar but with a "proper" body length and sizing that gives it enough air to make use of the long scale and bass focus of the rosewood back and sides.
A longtime customer of mine sent this in for resale -- he's a Gibson guy, I get it -- and it arrived in great shape. All my guy Ancel needed to do was give it a light level/dress of the frets and a setup to bring it back to "playing perfectly."
The "feel" of these guitars is much like '30s Martins -- a wider nut, flatter fretboard radius, and chunkier soft-V/oval-ish-C profile. The long scale of this also makes it feel stiffer under the fingers than a normal 000 12-fret, too, and so it "handles" more like a dreadnought in the left hand -- you can really lean into these and get some great power out of them.
Repairs included: a fret level/dress and setup.
