2010s Brad Sourdiffe "Brown" Electric Bass Guitar

This is a Vermont-made instrument by local builder Brad Sourdiffe. It's basically a "new-old-stock" instrument with only the tiniest bit of wear as he built it in recent memory but it hasn't been out in the world for sale.

This one is chambered inside for weight relief, has all sorts of excellent contours which make it feel good in the lap, and it balances nicely on a strap. It features a fairly traditional Fender-feel neck style but the rest of it is heavily modern -- it has two active EMG 35 TWX pickups, a fancy Schaller bridge, and push/pull pot to split the humbucking mode of the pickups to single-coil mode (though I forgot to show that in the demo video).

The back is mahogany and chambered while the top is figured maple. The pickup surrounds and details are figured birch. The neck is maple, the fretboard is rosewood, and it has a figured birch headstock veneer as well.

Condition notes: it's essentially new but has perhaps a little tiny wear in the body here and there from light handling. I'm talking light/can't-see-them sort-of scratches. The finish is between satin and gloss so nothing is obvious at all save a little nick to one of the decorative wedges at the side of the bridge. When this came in the fretboard extension was ramping-up just a bit (causing fret buzz) so we leveled/dressed the frets in that area down a bit to compensate for it. Pretty-much half of the Fender-style bass necks coming through need this work done (it's a design issue with bolt-on necks) so it's a bog-standard thing we do around here. I mention only for completeness' sake.
