2014 Alvarez ARD70 12-Fret Dreadnought Guitar

This big-sounding bruiser is an Alvarez take on something like the venerable Martin D-28S or the Gibson Radio Grande models. It's a big, 12-frets-to-body dreadnought with rosewood back and sides. It sounds big and full. It's also apparently a fairly popular model because the company has been making variations on the design for more than a decade, now.

Folks who will find this a winner are, of course, retro-album Norman Blake fans, flatpickers looking for a wide palette, and fingerpickers who want to have a full, big voice when digging-in. It has a classic look, a quick neck (for a 1 3/4" nut, anyhow), and is in good order.

Repairs included: repair to a minor hairline crack near the headstock "wing" and a setup.

Condition notes: it has an added (Kalamazoo-looking) pickguard. There's a repaired hairline crack at the back of the neck that's a non-issue. There are light scuffs and scratches here and there throughout the body but not obvious. The bridge has a teensy/not-through hairline crack along the pinholes. I did drop-fill it to pretty-it-up a little.
