2000s Carvin LB75 5-String Electric Bass Guitar

Tone: This can be dialed-in just about however you like, soundwise. Its "everything in the middle" sound is full on the bottom and clear on the top with slightly scooped mids. It's very "modern" in tone. Between the pickup options and active preamp, though, it can go just about anywhere.

Feel: The neck is fast and easy (it's a slimmer D-shape with a flatter 12" board radius) and the transition from neck to body is smooth and effortless. It has good balance between neck and body.

Interesting features: Its 5-piece neck with through-body construction is eye-catching and provides for nice transition lines. The active preamp gives bass, middle, and treble controls in addition to the main pickup blending and master volume controls. It has a full, 24-fret fretboard as well as quality hardware used throughout. This has a piezo-system built into the bridge saddles but two of the elements are not working correctly so I'm considering them as not functional as output isn't even across the board. The "big knob" controls are (1) master volume (2) magnetic pickup blend (3) blend between magnetic pickups and piezo pickups.

Repairs included: It's had a good setup and is ready to go. The frets have such minor wear that I didn't need to level and dress them.

Condition notes: It's in overall good shape and fairly clean. There are two filled tiny screwholes on the face of the instrument just in front of the bridge (from when a MIDI pickup device was attached to it). There are light scratches/scuffs/usewear evidence here and there throughout but none obvious. The piezo elements are not working correctly -- the low B string one is dead and the high G one is lower output. The "bass" part of the active controls (smaller knobs) is tougher to turn than the rest.

It comes with: It has a nice, original, hard case.
