1950s Royalist (United) Parlor Guitar

I've worked on dozens of these old, many-branded, United-made (New Jersey) student parlor guitars but this is the first one that Ancel did up. It got a neck reset, fret level/dress, bridge mods, and setup work and now it's playing spot-on and has a woody, chunky, grumble of a sound that's fun to strum-away on. I think Pokey Lafarge was using a similar guitar for quite a while when his band was starting-out.

Anyhow, this "Royalist" version has a cool sunburst, pennant fretboard markers, and is just as lovably-cheesy as you could want. These are all ply birch in the body, have poplar necks, and ebonized maple fretboards and bridges. They're ladder-braced and, once they're done-up, are fairly indestructible little beasties that are fun to take all over the place with little worry.
