1960s Harmony H929 Stella Parlor Guitar
Overview: This is a standard-issue, seemingly at every yardsale, H929-model, student-grade, Harmony Stella parlor guitar from the 1960s. The date stamp in the soundhole is illegible, unfortunately, but I'm fairly certain it's an early '60s build rather than '50s.
Tone: These are "0 size" with 12-fret neck joints and have a woody, chunky sound to them that's very endearing to record with and sits nicely in a mix. I like them better for fingerpicking but when you hit them hard with a flatpick they can almost do that gypsy-jazz sort-of thing.
Feel: The neck is "medium heft" and a little clunky but comfy and functional. It's got a flat board and the short, 24 1/8" scale keeps the strings slinkier-feeling than on a longer-scale guitar.
Interesting features: It's got a solid birch body throughout, a poplar neck, and ebonized maple fretboard and bridge. I've always liked the stenciled "fret markers" on these.
Repairs included: It's had a neck reset, fret level/dress, bridge adjustments (shimmed up and compensated), minor seam repairs, and setup work done. It's playing spot-on and ready to go with low, easy action.

Condition notes: There's plenty of edges with worn finish and various playwear/usewear throughout the finish via small nicks, scratches, and dings. It mostly looks pretty good, though. It's completely original except for the endpin. There's a "grunge outline" from, perhaps, some sort of giant sticker that was on the back at some point.
It comes with: Sorry, no case.
