2004 Geordie Lynd (Vermont) 000/Mini-Jumbo Guitar
Local picker Geordie made this with the help of a guitar-making-school fella back in 2004 (Ancel made one with the same guy last year) and, due to the light build, it later fell into some hardship and had been withering away in the waiting room upstairs for ages. Ancel took pity on it and got it working again.
After much fussing with braces, a new bridge, and fretwork, it's now playing spot-on and ready to serve again. It has its quirks, of course, but it sounds tremendous, mellow, and full. I think it's got a spruce top over walnut (maybe?) back and sides. The board and bridge are ebony and the neck appears to be mahogany.
It's got a 000/small jumbo body shape, is x-braced, and has extremely-light bracing.
