1959 Martin 5-15T Tenor Guitar
Overview: I tend to really enjoy this model of tenor guitar -- they're cute, they're cozy, and they're endearing. They have the usual 23" long scale (for tenor) and so will suit both chord-melody/droney-chord players as well as lead-picking folks. In a band, I think of these best as used for chordal work as they don't quite have the punch and snap of the bigger 0-15T or 0-18T models of the same time.
Tone: It's clean, woody, and chimey all at the same time -- very well-balanced and mics up easily.
Feel: The neck is the usual mildly-medium soft V Martin shape and it has a flat fretboard.
Interesting features: Nothing to write home about, here, save that it's very clean overall. The body is solid mahogany throughout and it has a mahogany neck and rosewood board and bridge.
Repairs included: I reset the neck and Ancel leveled/dressed the frets, fit a new bone saddle, and set it up to play on the dot.
