2020s Dean EAB Acoustic/Electric Bass Guitar

Here's just what it is -- a plain, functional, big-enough-to-sound-decent, ABG. I see these Deans in for setups all the time and they're not flashy but they get the job done. I still disagree with the odd idea of shoving so many frets free of the body (just move the bridge down lower, folks) but this one, on a strap, is comfy enough to play for long periods unlike some others (I'm looking at you, Martin ABGs).

It has a piezo undersaddle pickup that sounds fine and, after a setup, it plays well, though it could use a little bit of fretwork at the extension to play its best up there, though if you're playing an ABG past the 12th fret you may be missing the point, anyhow...

The big, jumbo-sized body makes this a much better instrument (sonically) than the very-many dreadnought-sized ABGs out there on the market that are only so-so. This one, thumped with a flatpick, can actually keep up with the guys at the campfire so long as you're not expecting full, wide, plugged-in, bass sounds. It's all-ply in construction, x-braced, and has a long, 34" scale.
