2015 Fender Japan TL62B Telecaster Custom w/Bigsby Electric Guitar

Overview: I bought this Telecaster off of a local fella who was downsizing and, while he thought it might be a '90s one, a quick glance at the serial revealed it's a Fender Japan model from 2015. The Bigsby and bridge are factory-fit on this guitar, apparently, and it's just played-in enough to feel like home but not gigged-out enough to be an ugly old sailor.

Tone: It's got a classic, '60s Tele sound to it which feels a little more "breathy" or "open" in conjunction with the Bigsby fit to it. I think they usually sound slightly warmer than your standard Tele setup with the Bigsby fit.

Feel: The neck is a carbon copy of a '60s Tele-style neck -- slim-medium C and round with a narrow, 1 5/8" nut width and curvy, 7 1/4" radius board. Don't believe me? There's a '68 Esquire in the shop right now and the feel is almost the same save the finish style.

Interesting features: Being a Custom, it's bound on the front and black in white plastic. This also has the classic, 3-color sunburst look.

Repairs included: I leveled/dressed the frets, cleaned it up, and set it up. It plays spot-on and is ready to go. When I set these Mustang/Jazzmaster-style bridges up, I install additional ferrules that "lock" the bridge in place like a Mastery-style bridge. They're easily removed if you want to remove them but the upshot of them is that they make tuning stability and sustain a lot better than without. I've done this "as standard" on any of these "rocking" Fender bridges for the last 10 years and it works.

Condition notes: While it's overall fairly clean, there's a little wear at the edges of the neck and headstock and the body shows mild scratching here and there throughout with a bunch of pickwear on the pickguard. I had to remove a bigger sticker from the back below the neckplate but, fortunately, there's little to no discoloration for it. The three-way switch tip is a little bent at an angle but it's not obvious.

It comes with: It has a gigbag.
