1966 Fritz Otto Kaiser 3/4 Violin

Overview: Here's a nice, simple, worn-in-just-right, '60s 3/4-size violin. It was made in Germany and has a good build quality with a warm, balanced sound -- a lot better than the same-cost imports you will get these days.

Interesting features: It has good looks, with a sunburst-like finish and "rubbed" edges that give nice contrast. The fittings are all good and it has a quick, easy neck feel.

Repairs included: As I recall, Manny refit the bridge, adjusted the soundpost, fit a fine-tuners tailpiece, leveled the fingerboard, fit a chinrest, and set it all up. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.

Condition notes: There's a repaired crack at the treble f-hole's top edge. There are nicks, dings, scratches, etc. throughout the finish but overall it looks "old and gold." The bridge, tailpiece, and chinrest are likely unoriginal but older.

It comes with: If it doesn't have a case (I can't remember offhand), I will provide something for it from my pile of them!
