1995 Anton Breton AB-10 4/4 Violin

This is a dead-simple, student-grade instrument from the mid-'90s. I remember these guys being everywhere and I had a nicer Anton Breton model as my first violin, too, though I mostly neglected it at the time. It did build the fire of desire, so to speak, somewhat!

This one's not a half-bad looker with its odd, '30s-esque, sunburst finish. It plays well, too, after some light setup-side work. Its sound is rather plain -- midsy, even, and balanced -- but plenty-good for a beginner, for sure.
