2017 Guild S-200 Thunderbird Electric Guitar

Overview: This is a Korean-made reissue of the original, '60s S-200 Thunderbird. It's piece-for-piece a repro of one (except for having a better bridge design), handles like one, sounds like one (the pickups are just a hair less "kerrangy" than period ones), and even has the same Hagstrom-style whammy setup. How about that?

This particular guitar was also brand-new, old-stock when it arrived here for resale. It still had all of its original cling-wrap on the pickguard and truss cover and looks like it hadn't been used save to pick a few minutes on it. I have pictures of the "sales notes" cling-wrap when it was on in the last few photos.

It's a cool guitar, with a giant stage presence, fun '60s whammy feel, and a bevy of controls that will be very familiar to you if you're a Jazzmaster fan (the lower switch activates a rhythm circuit which works just like a JM's -- neck pickup only and individual tone/volume for it).

Repairs included: I just gave it a restring and setup. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.
