2000 L.R. Bates Flatback "Irish" Bouzouki

 

This is a consignor’s instrument — part of a pair made by the builder — but no one knows about the builder! It needed some work to get it playing its best but it’s a lovely box now that it’s done-up.

Work included a heavy-duty level/dress of the frets, side dots fit, a new adjustable bridge cut and fit, tailpiece rehang, new geared tuners fit to the headstock, cleaning, and setup.

We had a buyer signed-up for it beforehand and he zipped right over to snag it as soon as it was done! I can’t blame him.
