1986 Charvel Model 6 HSS Electric Guitar
Overview: This is a high-quality, Japan-made Charvel. It's neck-through, has an HSS configuration, active pickups with a mid-boost circuit, heavy-duty "divebomb!" whammy, and smart looks. The owner of this fella used it for decades of play in metal bands and it certainly leaves the impression of a well-loved, well-used, rawk guitar.
The hardware all shows age and tarnish, the neck was "speed-necked" with some light steel wool at some point (though I've buffed it back up better), and it has scratches and scuffs throughout the body, but all of that age gives it a ton of character that's satisfying.
It also doesn't hurt that the neck is fast as heck and that it plays and sounds the business, too. After so many years of use, I only needed to do minor work to get it playing at its best again and it arrived here pretty near the mark of a good setup, too.
Repairs included: I leveled and dressed the frets, gave it a restring, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to go! I haven't locked the nut down, yet, though, as the strings are still settling-in, but I will lock it before shipping.

Condition notes: As noted, there's plenty of usewear throughout in the form of mild-medium scratches, scuffs, and a smaller amount of small nicks and dings. The clearcoat on the back of the neck was steel-wooled to a satin finish. I've since buffed it up a lot but if you're paying attention, you can see where the finish was speed-necked. The guitar is completely original, too, save for strap locks being installed in place of the original buttons. There are two small screwholes on either side of the bridge (near the humbucker pickup and one nearer the controls). The hardware all shows some tarnish and/or wear to the plating and/or a little rust here and there. It all functions as it should, though.
It comes with: It has its original, molded, Charvel, grey hard case.
