2020 Gibson L-00 Flattop Guitar

Overview: This is a great-sounding guitar with the chunky, woody, old-timey sort-of sound most folks are looking for from an L-00. The neck has some of that '30s-style heft to it but is also rounder on the back and it plays faster than the originals because of that. This one was sold as a "second" when it was first made and the owner noted a small finish flaw somewhere on it -- which I honestly can't find again, for the life of me -- but it's got a mark on the back of the headstock to designate that status.

Interesting features: The small-burst look is eye-catching, as usual. The owner also added a custom truss rod cover with L-00 inlaid in pearl (he's a builder, so he made it) which is nifty. It has a good, tall saddle with plenty of adjustment room and it's been kept tidy and well.

Repairs included: It just needed minor setup adjustments before it got put out on the floor. It's good to go and playing spot-on.

Condition notes: As noted, it was sold as a second because of a small finish flaw somewhere on it. It shows just the lightest playwear around the soundhole, a light ding or scratch here and there, and is overall in good shape. The endpin is a replacement. A strap button was added at the heel and there's a little oxidation on the hardware.

It comes with: It's got a good, original hard case.
