c.1930 Supertone Canoe Decal Uke

Here's a cute c.1925/1930 or so Supertone brand (probably made by Harmony) all-birch uke with a nice couple-in-a-canoe decal under the bridge. This uke has suffered along the way: I've reset its neck and reglued the bridge which had been poorly glued before and I've also done some finish resto (including a light top coat of varnish to seal a bunch of peeling, pitted finish). The back was reglued poorly but I left it like that. For the price and materials that this would have originally cost, this uke has an excellent sound. Very loud, clear, and direct, with a lot of smooth bass.

Headstock. Original tuners.

Dressed and polished frets.

Fun curvy body shape. Pretty narrow, though.

Decal detail: I like the tent.

Double-bound soundhole and top, even.

Side view.

Original bakelite tuners.

Back.

And the other side.
