c.1970 Martin D-18 Guitar w/OHSC
This is a one-owner D-18 I picked up recently and now have adorning the rack in the shop. What a great guitar! Roars like a lion and rattles your bones when you play it. Feels nice, looks nice... but what else do you expect from a vintage Martin?
The old bridge pins were very worn so I replaced them with a set of new ebony pins (safely stowing the old ones away) and the original pickguard was missing. I've replaced it with this vintage-style tortoise guitar which I think looks rather handsome.
Aside from the pins and guard, however, this guitar is entirely original. There are only two tiny cracks: one pickguard shrinkage crack that was previously repaired, and also a previously repaired inch and a half one in the side.
Rosewood board w/MOP dots.

I love the way old finish ages in to this nice golden color.
