Clippings: 1931 Vagabond Instruments

You know how, from time to time, I post up photos of "Vagabond" branded instruments? Well -- here's the reason why you see them so often -- they were a full set of medieval-themed, decalomania guitars, banjos, and mandolins. This shot from Music Trade Review happens to be from 1931.

Note the "curtain cord" straps on the guitars -- very typical for the time. I see these on lots of old instruments that haven't been used since the '30s and '40s. So -- for those of you seeking an authentic strap -- look no further than your nearest sewing/fabric store.
