c.1935 Harmony-made Mahogany Soprano Ukulele

Here's a really nice, all-original Harmony-made mahogany soprano uke from around 1930-1935. Like other nicer-grade Harmony ukes made around this time it has that good wide but thin (front to back) profile neck which makes it excellently playable for fingerpicking and strumming alike. This one has the 13 1/8" soprano scale unlike later, closer to 14" scale ukes.

My work included a seam/small hairline crack repair to the lower bass bout, bridge reglue, fret level/dress, cleaning, and setup. Before I received it this uke had its neck reset at some point. The job is workmanly but does show slight excess glue at the join. Not much to see but there.

Thin rosewood fretboard and nut.

Mahogany bridge. I'm just amazed at what condition this uke is in, save the small repaired hairline and old neck set -- the finish is really nice. It also sounds great in that sweet, loud, and balanced way these old thin-wood Harmony-makes do.

There's also a very small, stable, drop-filled, hairline crack at the side treble waist.

This uke also plays great with slightly higher than 1/16" action at the 12th fret.
