1996 Yamaha Attitude Plus M P-Style Electric Bass Guitar

This seafoam-green, P-style bass is very similar to the "Billy Sheehan" Yamaha Attitude basses from the same era but simpler and more to-the-point. Why mess with the P-Bass recipe? It works -- and this one works, too! My younger daughter took one look at it and said, "it's green! Keep it!" I have a habit of selling fun, brightly-colored gear in defiance of her tastes.

It has a basswood body, maple neck and fretboard, modern (shallower, faster) neck profile, average weight, and a clean, clear-sounding pickup that suits the D'Addario tapewound flats I've got on it. This type of flat is a little brighter, so you can pull-off a bit more of that roundwound sound with them.

This is a Taiwan-made Yamaha and the cut, build, wiring harness, and hardware is all good-quality stuff. I'm not sure where this fit in the catalog, but it's many steps up from the average Squier P as far as I'm concerned.

Repairs included: a fret level/dress, cleaning, setup, and restring.

Condition notes: it's actually in decent shape for its age. The pickguard (originally white) has "creamed-up" with age to its current color. There are a medium amount of small scuffs and scratches and various small nicks (see: near jack on the lower bout) here and there on the body, but it looks nice at a glance. You can see the wear (mostly on the back) when you see the finish glared in the light.
