1970s Ryoji Matsuoka M20 Classical Guitar
Matsuoka guitars appear to have been made by a small firm and, as well as making their own-make instruments, supplied several larger names with nicer-grade guitars to market under their brands (including Ibanez and Aria). This one has an "own-make" label and features a solid, cedar top over ply mahogany back and sides. It's lightly-braced and sounds full, even, and robust.
The owner had it in for repairs -- I reglued a split heel and reinforced it with a bolt and then one of the crew gave it a good setup to get it playing spot-on again. To that end the saddle-holding area got a small shave and the saddle lowered. We may have also added side dots.
