c.1920 Kaholas Hawaiian Koa Ukulele

Cool uke! This is an all-solid koa ukulele with Spanish neck construction... that means... Hawaiian! More than likely. Sounds nice, plays great, feels great. What more? Oh, it looks great, too. I've restored this one for a local customer and the work included a bridge reglue, new saddle (the original saddle was really worn down), setup, and cleaning. Now it plays like a champ and sings like one too.

New tuners, too.

Luckily, all the frets were still there.

This koa has simple grain but with really lovely reddish-brown to chocolate coloring all over.

Simple rosette gives it some elegance.

Reglued bridge with new ebony saddle.

Label.

Yum!

New pegs. Nice little scoop at the headstock/neck bend lends strength.

And like on most Spanish heel instruments, the back is also the heel cap.

Pretty stuff, huh?

And a cool little end strip.
