c.1960 "Stadium" Hawaiian Guitar

Creativity is a must when faced with instruments on the borderline... this poor old all-ply "Stadium" (German-made?) import guitar was "on the Fritz" for sure... warped neck, heel pulling out, etc... but after a little coaxing (and replacement of the original "zero fret" nut with an old bone one and a parts-box floating bridge) this guitar is now a pretty darn good Hawaiian guitar on the cheap.

...and it's amplified, too, courtesy of an old Dimarzio parts-bin pickup... and sounds great!

So, once again, sad stories need not end sad -- and lots of stuff can be recycled for use by someone.

This silly guitar actually has pretty decent bluesy/barky/loud tone, despite its looks... and you don't have to care too much, either.

Some typical parts-bin tuners I took off of something or other.
